The principal and founder of the company is Kirk Brewer. He has worked as a consultant and public company officer for more than 30 years.
Kirk has broad and deep experience in a wide range of corporate communications assignments, and has worked in public company, private equity, and consulting environments.
He has served as:
- The chief communications and investor relations officer of several public companies undergoing significant transformations
- Head of corporate communications and investor relations for a large private equity firm
- The lead communications advisor on teams launching numerous IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and other monetization events
- Trusted advisor to C-suite and corporate management teams during growth and crisis periods as well as normal operations
- Interim communications leader for a select group of global companies while they conduct searches for permanent communications officers.
He formed Core Communications Partners, the predecessor to Kirk Brewer and Associates in 2000, and has served a small and select group of consulting clients since that time. The name of the firm changed in mid-2014.
Kirk holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Journalism from Syracuse University. He speaks English, Spanish and French fluently, and lived in Europe for 10 years as a teen until returning to the U.S. for university. He is married, and is the father of three children now in their 20s. Kirk and his wife relocated to the Seattle area in September 2013.
